Kerchene Addis Abeba

Historically, Addis Ababa grew spontaneously, without a robust urban development plan. The historic city center is characterized by a high population density, crumbling infrastructure, and extreme poverty. As a result, millions of people live in overcrowded and neglected slums, facing serious health risks and a major impact on human dignity.

This photographic reportage was carried out in the Kechene slum to document and bring to light stories of hope and the struggle for a better future.
